is this what u talking about?
i like the 2 thin tower speakers. but the cheapest i can find is around $295 from buy so how is it cheaper than the logitech which cost about $200. and this jvc also doesn't have wireless.
if you want wireless you should probaly stick with the logitech

but is this possible? this way i will have wireless rear speakers and surround sounds.
As I and others have said numerous times, it really comes down to your needs/wants AND priorities. You have yet to enumerate them in a coherent manner. It sounds like, in order, they're roughly:
* Tall thin speakers that look nice
* Wireless rear speakers
* No Wi-Fi interference
* Connectivity for three peripherals (DVD, PS3, STB), assuming that the TV doesn't need to be a fourth INPUT source, but rather is just a monitor
* Cost
* Sound quality
You can't have all of these together, in all likelihood.
One last time, please consider going to a physical store where you can look at AND LISTEN TO various setups - possibly something like the Z-5450, some HTIB setups, possibly separate receiver/speaker setups.
For Wi-Fi interference, forcing the Wi-Fi onto a high-numbered channel and physical separation works for me, but there are no guarantees in some other setup, and as you noted some people's chief complaint is the interference. I can live with it, and plan to do so until I upgrade to something better, wireless or otherwise.
Good luck.

how about this..can i subsitute the front speakers of the z-5040 with other speakers..like the fluance tower speakers? fluance maybe a bit expensive side..so im gonna try to find a cheaper tower speakers if i can.
but is this possible? this way i will have wireless rear speakers and surround sounds.
I am not sure why you keep referring to Fluance speakers as 'expensive'. Their most expensive towers are $400/pr, but they sell several others for a lot less. They even have a complete 5.1 speaker package for only $200.
5.1 or 5.0? It looks like the sub is separate.
Oops, my bad. You are right, the sub is separate.
I got a gut feeling bb is trying to tell ppl to buy the expensive nose system. Lol
And when tried to turn up the volume. No sound..lol.
They probably weren't even plugged in.
anyway..since all those unit are connected to a dvd player..and we already establish it won't work for me since i want to connect everything: my westy tv, ps3, cable box, and my dvr. so how is that gonna help me?
I think you would be unwise to buy the Logitech Z-5450 and plan to substitute speakers. Check the manual, which is available online from the Logitech web site, but I think they say NOT to do that. In any event, IMHO it would be silly to buy the Logitech or any HTIB with the express intent of immediately replacing parts!

You MIGHT be better off taking one of the speakers to a nearby BB or CC or whatever and looking at stands in person to get one that you like esthetically, that is a good 'fit' for the speaker, etc., but almost any speaker stand should work fine as long as it's not designed for one specific speaker only.
Back to an earlier email, I'm sure BB or CC would let you listen to whatever HTIB you want, if you're really interested, even if it's not plugged in or 'live' originally. Most HTIB do come with a DVD player, but some don't, too. Connectivity is often limited, and you may or may not be able to upgrade individual pieces later, same as the Z-5450.
EDIT: Speaker stands should of course work for whatever setup you get, not just the Z-5450 as stated in the question.

can i also use it to control the volume on the z-5450 set, if i decide to get it?

quick question.right now.im using my time warner cable remote to control volumn on my tv.
can i also use it to control the volume on the z-5450 set, if i decide to get it?
No idea, it all depends on how universal or trainable the remote is.
with a little down time and some speed reading you too can enjoy one of the most painful threads in quite a while

Sure, but it provided me about 10 minutes of hilarious entertainment!

well when i called time warner up.they gave me codes to punch in on my time warner remote in order to work with my new westy tv..but for a sound system? u think it will work?
.. have the Z-5450 (which has been under US$200 on Amazon recently). It has two optical inputs, one digital coax input, 1-3 stereo inputs plus another separate stereo input..
let say if i need to connect all my devices thru optical inputs..since it only have two..and if i need more..then what?
and what is the difference when u plug a device thru optical, digital coaxial, 1-3 stereo input? is there a big sound difference between the 3?
If or when you buy additional equipment in the future, you do need to think about how you'll connect it. You may want to upgrade to a more robust receiver/speaker setup at the same time (or before), you may want to get a switchbox, you could unplug/replug things, you could live with 'just' stereo for one of your devices, etc. With your current budget, I wouldn't worry too much about future devices and how they'll connect, but someday..

im gonna go home tonite and check any of my devices (phone or linksys wireless router are 2.4 Ghz), if my devices uses optical or optical coaxial. then i will decide tomorrow if i want to buy this z5040 or not..friday is the last day for the amazon rebate.
decision, decision.
my linksys is in the bedroom and my tv, ps3, dvr, is in the living room..it is about 5 ft from each other. and since my router 2.4 Ghz match the 2.4 Ghz of the z5040..so i dunno.
im confused.
The JVC SXXSW6000 are a set of 5.1 speakers. Period. No electronics. Amazon, not Amazin.

http://www.amphony.com/products/l1550.htm
